The Professional Pet Groomer program is 500 hours total: a 120-hour Level 1 Certified Pet Bather foundation plus 380 hours of Level 2 professional grooming training.

What does each level cover?
Level 1: Certified Pet Bather — 120 hours
Foundational training covers salon safety and sanitation, humane handling, coat and skin fundamentals, bathing, drying, brush-and-comb finishing, nail care, and basic hygiene within non-veterinary scope. Required practice includes at least 35 supervised bath-and-dry services across dog sizes and coat types.
Level 2: Professional grooming training — 380 additional hours
Professional skills include clipper and scissor work, pattern grooming, breed-inspired trims, advanced coat management, client communication, salon operations, and portfolio development. Students complete at least 80 logged grooms across sizes, coat types, and temperaments.
How is progress assessed?
Training includes written assessments, practical check-offs, and professionalism standards. Level 2 includes portfolio review and a full-groom practical final from intake through finish. Both levels emphasize humane handling, sanitation, and service documentation.

Tuition, scholarship, and monthly payments
Tuition for the complete 500-hour Professional Pet Groomer program is $4,285 after a $2,500 scholarship. Monthly installments of $715 per month are available.
Your scholarship application is automatic—no separate application is needed. To qualify for the scholarship, complete your training within 9 months. Review your payment schedule during enrollment.
